Similar to Rogue Bravo package for $1155 (when you get the upgraded Nexgen Bar) but you’re saving over TWO HUNDRED dollars!  We aren’t fans of buying cheap barbells or cheap bumpers and then having to buy better gear later on, so our basic recommendation includes gear you won’t have to replace later on down the road as you progress. The NexGen barbells are some of the best in the world (read our review and check out videos of the Pendlay NexGen at our Barbells and their bumpers are great low bounce solid rubber with extremely accurate weight tolerances to ensure even weighting of your bar.  Unlike the Hi-Temps which give a very big bounce.

The Rage ball is a great Dynamax alternative and the kettlebells will also save you money compared to almost any other comparable quality kettlebell.  A fantastic starter Equipment package that will provide years of great workouts and value.

If you need a pull-up bar, the Pendlay Elite Pull Up System can be drilled into the wall or a ceiling, which makes it more versatile than most other pull-up installations.  Made with strong steel and in the USA, which is a big plus, this is a heavy duty pull up bar. The brackets and cross bar are specially coated with a unique thermal powder coating system that provides the perfect balance between slicker painted bars and rough traditional powder coating.

The Why Behind Our Equipment Packages for Crossfitters

Whether you decide to go with our equipment packages is up to you.  We put together both equipment packages with two people in mind.  The premium package is for someone who is looking for high quality equipment but is unsure of where to buy it.  We tried to choose the best blend of high quality equipment that will last years, and the best deals we could find.  This doesn’t mean you have to go with every single one of our recommendations for these equipment packages for Crossfit, because we certainly could have missed something.  However, we did look at a lot of competing equipment packages and found them to be less than ideal.  Whether it was not offering a great discount or adding things we didn’t see as very essential.  However, we do know if you go with our recommendations, you will not be disappointed in your equipment.

The second package, the “I’m Broke” equipment package is set up as some free information, links, and general advice for people who need to make it work while they are low on cash.  The difference is in the quality obviously.  Some of this stuff may break after a month, or rather just need some constant maintenance and repair.  This should be expected when building your own pull-up bar or making homemade PVC gymnastic rings.  However, we wanted to make sure we offered two different equipment packages for two different people.  Another thing we took into consideration when making the equipment packages, is making sure we laid out a good amount of essential tools.  We didn’t think that an abmat should be considered essential when making our equipment packages.  There are one thousand ways to train your abdominals and adding that to our packages just didn’t make sense, especially the I’m Broke equipment package.
